I Would Like to Thank the Academy

There have been some pretty respectable oscar-bait films this year and I feel the need to divulge my feelings towards them.

Unfortunately I didn't find the time to see Milk or The Reader its probably for the best. Its not like im a homophobe, those films simply did not spike my interests.

This was a Terrific film I admired the interesting shoreline and felt that the images were fantastic as always. The characters were very fun to watch. Many of the complaints were the length but i personally had no complaints, I felt the scope of the Benjamin's life couldn't have been presented properly in any shorter of a film.

What a surprise this one was a movie based on three days worth of interviews who would have known it would have been so entertaining. The basic nature of the film really draws all of the attention to the acting which was phenomenal most notable is Frank Langella as nixon and of course sam rockwell never disappoints.

This was also a terrific film mainly because of the story and some of the visuals were good as well. However i cant say that this was my favorite of the three films. I cant quite place my finger on it, to me some of the characters seemed a bit weak. This was a good film none the less.

p.s. Benjamin Button was my favorite out of this lineup.

I completely agree with your statements, although I didn't get to see Slumdog Millionaire unfortunately.

I think Ben Button will clean up, and rightfully so.

I do, however, think that the Academy largely overlooked the seminal filmic experience from visionary director David S. Goyer, "The Uninvited". Where were the Best Original Screenplay and Best Director noms for Goyer?! I, for one, am insulted that they would bypass such genius. This was a film so well crafted, the likes of which I haven't seen in years, that I went back and saw it four times just to breathe in all the intricacies I missed the first go around. I know I am not alone in feeling this way.

Also, speaking of Sam Rockwell, have you seen "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind"?

George Clooney does a damn fine job directing, it's one of the most overlooked movies ever.

It was good, but its no Benjamin Button, the characters were so much better in Button and the over visuals were just to good to be placed in second however the story was very interesting in slumdog. In my opinion.

Comment 2:
I will Netflix Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.

Comment 1:
To hell With the Academy Goyer was ripped off, i mean did you see that dog with the mask on and an old man with a twisted up body that shit is epic and will stand the test of time!

p.s. Random thought but if someone were to be forced to play david s. goyer in a movie it would be played by Stanly Tucci. What do you think?

Tucci:

Goyer:

What an honor it would be for Tucci to play the legend that is Goyer.

After all the influential david s. goyer films there have been, there's bound to be a biopic made about him relatively soon.

Stanley Tucci would be excellent casting for this role of a lifetime.
